Desk News: “I don’t chase records; records chase me.” Cristiano Ronaldo once said this, and he has proven it in practice. Recently, this Portuguese superstar, who has won the Ballon d’Or five times, reached the milestone of 900 goals.
Now, he has set a record on social media as well. Cristiano Ronaldo is the first person in the world to surpass 1 billion (100 crore) followers on social media.
Ronaldo himself announced this milestone on social media. He posted a collage of moments from his illustrious career in the shape of the number 1B, titled “100 Crore Dreams, One Journey.”
In the post, Ronaldo wrote, “We have made history with 1 billion (100 crore) followers! This is more than just a number—it is a testament to our shared emotions, enthusiasm, love for the game, and much more.”
He continued, “From the streets of Madeira to the biggest stages in the world, I have always played for my family and you (the supporters), and now we have come together as 100 crore people.”
Thanking his supporters, CR7 added, “In every step of this journey, through all the ups and downs, you have been my companions. This journey is ours, and together we have shown that there are no limits to what we can achieve. Thank you all for believing in me, supporting me, and being a part of my life. The best is yet to come. We will continue to move forward, win, and create history together.”
