Desk News: Poet, philosopher, and political thinker Farhad Mazhar has expressed deep regret over the embrace between interim government chief Muhammad Yunus and U.S. President Joe Biden. He described this act (embracing) as an insult to the people of Bangladesh.
“You (Yunus) embraced him (Joe Biden) as a brother, but he’s a murderer. The greatest murderer in the world, and you’re hugging him. I’ve supported a man wholeheartedly, and then he goes and hugs a person who’s a murderer, drenched head to toe in the blood of Palestinian children.”
Mazhar made these remarks yesterday, Friday, during a discussion titled “Realities and Reforms of Chittagong Port,” held at the Chittagong Circuit House auditorium.
Farhad Mazhar further stated, “In America, they call him (Biden) ‘Genocide Joe.’ Do any of you know that? He is a mass murderer. A man stained with the blood of the Palestinian people. If you were conducting diplomacy, shaking hands would have been fine, we are a weak nation.”
He added, “But Biden is nothing—zero. He has no value. The real person is Kamala Harris. He (Biden) couldn’t even run his own election campaign. He can barely speak.”
The discussion, moderated by The People’s View executive editor Saleh Noman, also featured speakers such as former Chittagong Port Authority member (Administration) Zafar Alam, Deputy Commissioner of Chittagong Customs Tareq Hasan, Vice President of Freight Forwarders Association Khairul Alam Sujon, and Convener of the Deprived Businessmen’s Forum and former Joint Convener of BNP’s Chittagong Metropolitan unit Saiful Alam.
